These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of kaelrunemedia.com (the "Site") and any project or service you engage KaelRune Holdings LLC, doing business as KaelRune Media ("KaelRune Media," "we," "us," or "our"), to perform. By using the Site or hiring us for services, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or our services.
Use of the Website
The content on this Site, including text, design, graphics, and logos, belongs to KaelRune Media or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or reused without permission, other than for your own personal reference. You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to scrape, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to it.
Services We Provide
KaelRune Media provides website design and development, SEO and schema markup, AI search (AEO) optimization, ongoing care and maintenance plans, standalone SEO services, branding and graphic design, and related add-ons, as described on our Services page.
Quotes & Pricing
Prices shown on the Site represent standard starting prices and package scopes. Every project is different, and work requiring additional pages, advanced functionality, custom integrations, e-commerce features, extensive copywriting, or other specialized work may require a custom quote. You'll always receive and approve your specific project scope and pricing in writing before work begins.
Payment Terms
One-time website projects may be paid in full upfront or, on qualifying projects, through milestone-based payments: typically 50% to begin and 50% before launch on projects up to $2,100, or a 40% / 30% / 30% split (to begin, at design approval, and before launch) on projects of $3,400 or more. Alternative payment schedules may be available depending on project scope and will be confirmed in writing. Monthly care plans and standalone SEO retainers are billed monthly and can be canceled at any time; you will never be charged a fee you didn't agree to in writing. If a payment isn't received on schedule, we may pause work until the account is current.
Revisions
Each website package includes a set number of revision rounds (2 rounds for Single Page and Starter, 3 rounds for Growth and Pro), with additional rounds available at $100 each. A revision round consists of reasonable changes to the approved project direction. Major changes in scope, functionality, page count, or branding direction, or changes to previously approved work, may require an additional quote.
Project Timelines
Most small-business websites are designed, built, and launched within 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the package and how quickly content, feedback, and approvals are provided by the client. Delays in providing content or feedback may extend the timeline accordingly.
Ownership & Delivery
Once a project is paid in full, you own the final website and deliverables created for you. We host your site as part of our service, but you're never locked in; if you'd like to move to a different host, we'll migrate your site with no migration fees. KaelRune Media retains the right to showcase completed work in our portfolio and marketing materials unless we've agreed otherwise with you in writing.
Cancellations
Deposits and milestone payments already made generally cover time, design, and resources already committed to your project and are non-refundable once work has begun, except as otherwise agreed in writing. If you need to cancel or pause a project, contact us and we'll work through the specifics with you directly.
No Guaranteed Rankings or Results
We build technically sound, well-structured, properly optimized websites and provide genuine SEO, AEO, and marketing effort, but no agency can honestly guarantee specific search rankings, AI citations, traffic, or business results, since those are ultimately controlled by search engines, AI platforms, and factors outside anyone's direct control.
Third-Party Services
Our services may reference or facilitate third-party payment providers (such as PayPal, Venmo, and Stripe). For invoices sent through PayPal, PayPal may offer clients its own Pay Later financing option; approval, terms, and repayment for that financing are handled entirely by PayPal and are not part of any agreement between you and KaelRune Media. Transactions through these providers are governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, not by KaelRune Media.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KaelRune Media is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or our services, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us for the service giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
